Any chance the 1-3 trends higher ?

I wouldn't bet on it, in fact I'd bet on an inch or so but it has happened where wrap around moisture actually plays out. Now that the GFS seems to be tracking the early next week threat North of us the wrap around is about the only interesting thing to look at for the time being though.

Days like today are again making it hard to root for winter. At this point its go big or go home. Parallel lost the storm but the ensembles look good for the day 10+. Story of this winter, always chasing the elusive 10 day storm. Without the blizzard this would be a horrible winter for anyone below NYC.

One thing I don't like seeing is that the blocking, and the the PV are showing further North in recent runs, which is increasing the likely hood of storms cutting with that ridge out in the Atlantic. Much can of course change over the next several days, but if we want a more wintry period that trend needs to reverse.

Just hold on for 40 more model runs...

That would be one heck of a storm, verbatim we would go with some light over running snow, some zr, then heavy rain to epic snow. Probably at least 1in qpf snow after the change over. Just need it to hold on for 40 more run, and trend a bit colder and we are golden! lol

Awww come on we know it will stay like this for 7 days and then turn into a Chicago special cutter.

Mention of gusty thunderstorms this afternoon.

Looks like a few days cooler, then we get warm again. At this point I just don't see us getting much more in the way of accumulating snows outside possibly a inch here, a inch there.

Hey folks. I have been waiting for the big storm too but as we roll into March I am getting anxious for Thunderstorm season. I found myself watching some videos tonight.

Here is one to get you ready while we wait for our 93 Superstorm.

Seems like mid-90's we always got decent storms.

This is a decent video.
