jwilson
I was ready to break out the golf clubs on Masters weekend, so much for that. This has been a weird winter, though it technically isn't winter anymore, of course.

RitualOfTheTrout
L Looks like the best forcing and thus qpf is North of Pittsburgh, but still think most of us get 2-3 inches at least.
RitualOfTheTrout
Yeah, of course I have plans north of the city tonight with friends. I love snow, but why on earth are we getting 2-4 inches on April 8th? Probably the same reason it was 60 degrees on December 23rd lol.
RitualOfTheTrout
Not surprising I guess. I read somewhere a couple of days ago about how a piece of the PV is about 1000 miles further South than normal this time of year. What a wacky winter this has been. Rolling Snowed
For perspective: December 2015 for the month-officially 0.3" for Pittsburgh. Thru 4/8/2016 as of 5pm for April 2016 officially for Pittsburgh: 0.9" with 2-3" to go...
north pgh
Picked up less than an inch. The local news reporting shovels to be used and salt crews out on the roads was another waste of time as roads and sidewalks were just wet and now are bone dry. Bring on the heat, humidity and thunderstorms.

Bring on the heat, humidity and thunderstorms. Looks like this could be the last day of the white stuff, Tuesday morning we may see a few flakes, but after looks like it warms up as week goes on and gets into the 70"s by next weekend and we could stay there for a period. Bring on the heat, humidity and thunderstorms. The Nam and Gfs were both pretty consistent with the system being an I-80 special. I was surprised the Nws went even as high as 2-3" for the Pgh area. It's funny you mention heat and humidity. Because this system would've produced widespread severe weather. Lol

I think the hail core was very small. I got it in Bellevue, but my parents in west view didn't get any. I was basically bullseyd on this. At one point visibility dropped to about a half mile it looked like.
jwilson
This pattern is lousy for us golfers. I just ordered new clubs and I hope I get to try them out soon. Very much looking forward to the eventual pattern shift, though who knows when it will flip for a meaningful period of time. June?
