It used to be that way over on Eastern with posters from Canada/Vermont/NH before they switched to American. Personally I think we fit in better with Ohio and the great lakes section with lake effect and similar climo. We are connected to the same lake as Ohio/NW PA posters but post in different forums. Ginx snewx
We never mixed here at all. 2"/hr. rates for a couple of hours this morning likely helped. Still light snow here now. My 19.5" measurement was a few hours back so maybe another 1" or so. We'll see.lucky old bastard, congrats

Many of the posters in southern and eastern sections have seen snowfall rates and depths and number of double digit events frequently to even consecutively that many folks will never see (outside of les favored zones or perhaps the high sierra or rockys or black hills). At some point things have to swing back. I have done ok some seasons but more often than not am on the outside looking in which is part just bad luck and part being in a valley location that just doesn't do well overall with big coastals unless they track inside the benchmark or closer despite rain and mixing issues. I just scratch my head when I see posts from folks who are at normal to above normal for so far this season when to the n and w things go from bad to beyond worse, and many of these folks have experienced winter or winters when they have been 100-300 or more percent above normal etc. Parts of long island are already at 40 inches for the season!! Im glad some of you guys had a nice hit yesterday and overall it looks like there will likely be another in the pipeline at some point not too far away and hopefully that one will get a much larger area right into central and nne as well.
