BristowWx
An area of ZR is really blossoming in central VA and is heading for DC and vicinity It's a race again time. The cold can only hold the line so long without reinforcements. Still this has been a pretty good day in NOVA.

mattie g
Final call of 5" before the real flip. Not bad. Trained spotter near me reported 6" which I can imagine would be right, but with the lulls and flips and extended precip time, I may have mis-measured. vance1167
I literally just slid down an inclined sidewalk in Ballston near Metro and barely could keep my balance let alone get traction. Crazy feeling.
I-83 BLIZZARD
1.3 inches of snow here before it went to IP. Light freezing drizzle and temp dropped from 24 to 23. Morning commute might be dicey.

Jebman
Is it all freezing rain? For us, it will probably be mostly ZR, tho there could be some sleet
T. August
I am only a couple miles above the Harford county line and I measured 1.3 inches before the sleet kicked in. I call bullsh*t on the 4" and 3.5". Maybe 2" max in N. Harford/Baltimore. Your measurement and mappy's are solid. It always surprises me how many bad measurements there are. BTRWx
That would be awesome. But how? Its algorithm makes me wonder sometimes. We need ground truth to confirm. It could be the heavier echoes like I was speculating earlier when the sun was still out.
Bob Chill
That would be awesome. But how? Has to be an algorithm issue. No way is anyone south of the Mason Dixon getting snow. Sleet is becoming a stretch.

NorthArlington101
Short range guidance suggests the majority of the area doesn't get above freezing until at least 3AM, doesn't look to warm up that quickly until morning. Actually 4K holds us below freezing until 6AM then very quickly warms up.
