gopper
Interestingly, I have flipped back to a 33/33/33 of snow sleet and freezing rain? Temp and DP has not budged in hours, 27.7/25.3. Curious about what that other 1% might be?
vance1167
1. Is this sarcasm? 2. Were the main roads icy in spots? 1. No. 2. Definitely. Very icy spots on DTR. My side street next to my apartment complex is a complete ice rink.
dailylurker
Awesome outside. Crunchy, crispy, icy goodness. Just jumped up to 27. I'm in the band over AA county. Freezing rain with maybe a ping.
MacintoshPro
1. No. 2. Definitely. Very icy spots on DTR. My side street next to my apartment complex is a complete ice rink. Thanks for responding. The roads are mostly okay over here, but we have a neighborhood brigade that dumps salt on the side streets.
wxdude64
Curious about what that other 1% might be? I'll let you pick one, your choice. Not a lot of flakes now, mostly sleet and ZR. Light, but falling, it was heavier when there was more flakes.

Joshfsu123
My neighborhood sidewalks and roads (no salt) are completely iced over... impressive. And the snow pack has a nice coat of ice on it now. Still 26 degrees here. On and off freezing rain.
Windman18
Looking at the hrrr it looks like precip will become more widespread around 9-10pm. Has most the area stay frozen until the possible lull around 4am tomorrow before the rain.
Bob Chill
My side street is very slick. Had to walk through the snow to check it out. Dog skated down the driveway. I wish I filmed it. Trees have a light glaze but nothing special. Temp stuck at 27 for the last couple hours.

midatlanticweather
Ian or other photographers - expecting some tree shots with lights behind making them a shimmering cool shot! I will try, but I ahve no tree with lights anywhere near! Still stuck at 25.. just some drizzle

Funny you say that, just saw that report myself, and a 3.5" in northern Hartford which is nearby. I do not have 4" of new snow. 1.5" is a stretch. Not sure how someone managed 4" up here... RDM
Been at 27/26dp for several hours now without a smidgen of variance. Plowed our 500' driveway today and finished up right at the end of the lull (right at 4" here). The UV during the lull helped to clean the driveway a little bit more.... sort-of. With the potpourri since the lull it's a sheet of crunchy ice now. Same for Lawyers road despite the ton of salt applied last night and today - it's in pretty bad shape. Lawyer's gets a lot of traffic for a curvy/hilly cow path and is wrought with accidents on the best of days, let along with conditions like now. Hopefully the rain and above freezing temps in the AM will melt things. Otherwise, tomorrow's commute is going to be a challenge in these parts.
