ers-wxman1
What do you think about region-wide icing chances at this point? I'm concerned about the misty liquid as the lull filled in, but I'm waiting to see what stronger returns show. I think we will see several more hours of predominantly -ZR with a few sleet pellets mixed in at times. All ZR/FZDZ this eve and possibly midnight for far NW suburbs. Decent chance for 0.1 to 0.25 icing
cae
Snow has stopped for now. I'm still at about 3 1/4", maybe 3 3/8", but there has been some compacting. I just tried measuring ratios again, and it's now closer to 14:1. Whoops, that should be 2 1/4" or 2 3/8". I've been reading too many reports from down south. psuhoffman
I can definitely see your met knowledge. Like reading your posts. thank you. I appreciate that you take the time to contribute on here. This board is an amazing resource and I hope others appreciate what we have. Scarlet Pimpernel
this place is great and I appreciate everyone here and especially those that put in so much work to keep it going. I love teaching so I made the right choice at the time but as I said above maybe I'll go back and finish my meteorology degree someday. Despite the occasional ribbing you get whenever you mention being fringed (haha!), I think I speak for most everyone in here that you have offered many good insights. I've enjoyed your posts and it's clear you've got a solid amount of knowledge in meteorology. If you're at all able to, you should go on and finish the degree when you can. I know it's probably harder with a regular job and a family, but even if it takes a bit longer (than if you were full-time), it would be worth it. Or at the least, read up on things on your own, if that's more feasible (but you probably do that already).
