MacintoshPro
Still pretty light here, but looks good out near Manassas The radar has really filled in to our SW. unless something catastrophic happens, I think we're good for another 2-4". aldie 22
Looks like it is just going to be light to sometimes moderate snow for awhile...pretty to watch.
Stormpc
Best part about fresh snow...when we walk out to the barn you can see all of the fresh footprints of the critters...so far I've seen what appears to be one or more of the following... deer, rabbit, possum, raccoon, fox, cat, bird, mice and human...fun cool and pretty Look out for the Coyotes also there. I have them in the woods/fields behind my house. Also, they are not the small/skinny kinds. They look like they are crossed with wolves. Big looking sob's. Snowing nicely. Some rimed balls falling now, accumulating quickly. 21/19.
peribonca
2 inches in Petworth. Currently light snow with a mix of flakes and what seems to be graupel. Radar looks great, as the precip movement starts orienting more south to north we should get better rates.

aldie 22
The radar has really filled in to our SW. unless something catastrophic happens, I think we're good for another 2-4". This stuff doesn't pile up...just a slow steady fall...1-2" additional would be more realistic when all is said and done imho
MN Transplant
NAM has the p-type switch at 2pm. Looks like the RAP is closer to 3pm for the DC metro. Could still get 1-2" in the meantime. Looks like a decent batch headed towards me in the next little bit.

clskinsfan
4K not as robust in the snow accum dept. Has another 1-2 for everyone. I think that is a realistic expectation at this point. DC loses surface temps around 10 PM. Pretty icy out this way tonight.
WxUSAF
-SN but snowing at a decent accumulating clip. Had 1" when I shoveled and another 0.2" or so on top now.

MacintoshPro
I dislike that the models show the precipitation switch at 2 pm... that could mean a good amount of ice even in the metro areas.

J.Mike
Took a nice Jebwalk to my Starbucks. BTW, DC now in warning area. This storm is like the little engine that could.
87storms
1-2" easily before the switch. 2-4" very possible IMO. Legit daytime event in progress now as the precip lifts north along with the front.

Bob Chill
Picking up real nice now with larger flakes mixing in. Next couple hours looking great for dc+burbs. nj2va
WSW expanded to Arlington, Alexandria, DC, PG, Fairfax, and eastern Loudoun counties. Calling for 4-6" total with 0.1" ice. Heaviest snow of the morning here.

cae
About 1" here. BWI also reported 1" at 7:00. I'm keeping an eye on the ice situation. There seemse to be broad agreement across models that DC will get at least some ZR, but the RGEM ensembles suggest that it won't be much more than about 0.2". The HRRR is showing more. MillvilleWx
According to dad in Millville, DE, snowing light to moderate with the bands and over 2". Said temp is rising along shore though fairly quickly so anyone on eastern shore, look for the temp spike within next few hours. Still should be snow till around 2-4pm looking at models around the eastern shore of Bay.
