Bob Chill
Didn't take much time for snow to make it to the surface once the more solid returns were overhead. Already have a coating on sidewalks/roads etc. Down to 19 degrees. Nice intel Disc. Appreciate it. I hope you add some nice totals to your seasonal out of this one
NorthArlington101
The fact that people aren't losing snow to virga is good news, I think someone reported snow falling with a -2 DP. Just hope the early start times are legit.

RichmondTarHeel
I'm bad at time conversion. Is the RAP saying there will be snow (virga?) over our area by 9:00pm?
BTRWx
I'm bad at time conversion. Is the RAP saying there will be snow (virga?) over our area by 9:00pm? The latest version from ncep shows otherwise. It's probably a blip. The esrl advanced maps run a little later than ncep. That particular map shows 10pm, but I doubt that's right. WEATHER53
I said last night the dew might be like 2 at the start. Do not know why but the arctic masses just are not snow eaters, echos arrive and it starts quick

BTRWx
Timing is going to be pretty difficult for this entire event. Models are all over the place still in that regard, especially the short-range guidance.

Usually when we are sucking under virga it means the model(s) got the synoptics wrong. I wouldn't worry about it at all until things aren't going as planned.
