Jonathan
Still at 24F and the SLEET is back! Wasn't expecting that. But I still have a cold layer at 925mb so I guess that explains it. Looking to switch to ZR soon, hopefully just drizzle.

RubiksDestroyer
Seeing some nice big fatties here!!! Of freezing rain, that is. About 29 here. If anything, it seems to have gotten colder since precipitation started. I'm probably imagining it, though.
magpiemaniac
30 degrees, steady rain, and not a bit of freezing. And it's ruining yesterday's snow.

superjames1992
Just got a report from a friend that the interstates are a practical warzone right now. Wrecks are everywhere. Meanwhile, the branches are icing up now and icicles are building. ZR continues.
Brick Tamland
Sounds like the forecast for everything turning to rain earlier today was way off for a lot of places.

sparklecity
Temperature still hasn't budged. Heavy freezing drizzle. Nice glaze on everything and you can really start to see it in the trees now. Could be a long night if the wedge holds.
drfranklin
does anyone feel the main band of precip (in AL/GA) is slowing and being "squeezed" by the wedge?

NCSNOW
I can tell you interstates are icing back up fast. Wrecks everywhere you look now. This storm we've learned that we where right cad is and has always been modeled poorly. Never underestimate the in sutu wedge and meso hps. Models never catch. The finger band was a suprise and overruning always starts earlier than expected. That being said mby got dryslotted like never before. Of course I'll make up for it when the big band comes through after all layers get above freezing. Smart money would bet the farm next winter will be awfull with a strong lanina signal. So maybe it'll end up opposite of what everyone thinks/forecast like these past

raysum
Chris and John are growing concerned about a major ice storm. For instance, a couple of hours ago Greenwood, SC was 34 and now they are below freezing. Pretty incredible to think that the wedge has strengthened late this afternoon. Currently at 28 in Spartanburg where I have been since noon today
