Snow haven
I know it says 29 on this page but its nothing but rain here and its 33 degrees so looks like im done for with the winter weather today
magpiemaniac
Seems to have stopped in Wake Forest and north Raleigh. For some reason my office decided to open at 2:00. Capital Blvd is clear, but the side roads are messy. That should give you just enough time to go into work, talk about the weather, and head back home. I'd hate to have to get dressed just for that. CoolBreeze
Sleet and freezing rain here now.. Temp dropping a bit, but can't go down much - RH is 80%.
NWNC2015
All freezing rain in Elkin...mostly sleet in the heavier returns. Thin layer of ice on top on at least 3" of snow so far.
gritsnc
25/22 Sleet and rain now. I'm surprised that the roads aren't slick. I just took my daughter to the eye dr and roads seem absolutely fine.
wncsnow
Still 28 here with occasional sleet and zr, slight accrual, expecting around .15 before the switchover

SnowDeac
Roads definitely have some heat left to them. Puddling in non-treated roads/parking lots. Nothing frozen. 31/25.
NWNC2015
Yea roads are not slick even with freezing rain and sleet. Driving just fine on nearly all the roads in the west.

LMA1973
Per WRAL the WWA has been extended to 7PM for Wake and Durham counties due to the struggling temps.
burrel2
Temperature made it up to 29.8 around 11am, it's since dropped to 29.1 and held steady there for the last 2 hours. Talk about a waste of a good over-performing CAD wedge. Every short range model had me warming to about 32/33 degrees by now. The problem is that I've received a total of about 10 drops of rain that evaporated before they could freeze today. It'll be fun watching the 32.5 degree heavy rain fall after about 36 straight hours of below freezing temperatures later tonight.
Brick Tamland
That should give you just enough time to go into work, talk about the weather, and head back home. I'd hate to have to get dressed just for that. The thing is if I didn't come in I would have to take a whole day of PTO. And of course I am the only one in my group here. Meanwhile, it just started raining hard here. Too bad we didn't have that last night when it was cold enough for snow.

Buddy1987
Well guys at least the southeast regional mosaic is really trying to get its act together over NC and SC the last hour or so. Hopefully it'll fill in because the stuff to the west is taking its sweet time getting here.

superjames1992
It almost looks like small flurries are falling, but it must be drizzle because mid-levels don't support snow at all. In any case, business would seem to be about to pick up finally with temperatures still well below freezing.

burrel2
Temp keeps dropping here as we approach saturation. Down to 28.7 with a light drizzle that has finally come down hard enough to wet the roads. It's going to be really interesting to see what happens tonight when the heavy stuff gets here.
