Eastatlwx
This thread is dedicated for the Cliff Jumpers, One's who have risen the white flag in showing there acceptance at plain reality. The point of this thread is too vent. Let out all of your weenie-induced frustration, instead of taking it out on other people. We all have the same passion and love for weather, and though it can be frustrating. We need to learn to respect each other.

Jet Stream Rider
Its so bad, I'm thinking of riding the jet stream straight to the tropics! Setting up shop in a beach hut on a tropical isle where its always warm, and no impending snow to worry over ever again.
packbacker
I jumped in early January, seemed obvious. Like I thought, a warmer less snowy version than 98, sitting on 1.2". My 5" call for RDU was way to high. Monday should be fun, cutters gonna cut.

QC_Halo
I come here to watch the gnashing of teeth as much to look at the very amateur prognostication.... Crazy how much time and energy some people put into wishing for winter precip. Funny when hopes are crushed.
Snowless in Carrollton
This is the kind of misery we endure almost every winter in GA. It isn't fun Carolina folks, is it ?
buckeyefan1
I'm not disappointed in this winter at all. It's turned out (so far) pretty much how I thought it would
SnowNiner
Gotta admit this one hurt a bit. Had a nice strong set up that slowly slipped away, then crushed us today. Gonna wait another week or two to see what that pna ridge will do late February since we tend to score then. 2 weeks, then I'll jump if nothing on the horizon. EmersonGA
This is the kind of misery we endure almost every winter in GA. It isn't fun Carolina folks, is it ?Just move 50 miles north. Still Georgia but north of the ever present I-20 line. I got over 5" last year.
frazdaddy
I have to chase to get mine. It would be nice to get it here but just not reliable. I think a Tug Plateau chase might be the quest next year.

packbacker
Yep, hat tip to Pack too! Well for the good news....our 10yr running average actually went up this season as we dropped 05/06 which was 0" season and we got 1.2". So we got that for momentum for next year. Next year we have to beat 1.6" to improve. #snowynina2017

Gray Mills
You want to talk about a no snow zone. I live in Rockingham and its sad to watch. Oh well. It will probably snow when we do not expect anything and it pops up 2 days in advance. Watching this for a week and watch it bust is painful. I should know better

rduwx
After being on these boards for 10 years I've learned to have no expectations going into winter. Therfore it makes what you get so much better and keeps the frustration level low.

Snow that sticks on the ground. Show where you don't have to worry about it being 35 degrees with the ground temps at 45. Snow that falls during the day and piles up on the ground all the way up to one inch high. Snow that falls in the dead of winter, while the sun angle is low. Snow that falls at a rate of more than one flake per square meter. Snow. Pure, cold, daytime, mid-winter snow. It's really quite comical in the end.
