NWNC2015
FWIW...if cold rain does verify someone would need to start a Flash Flood Thread after the ground becomes frozen this weekend. Could become particular dangerous in the west (Piedmont/Foothills) and you better hope the precip stays frozen in the mountains. Anything frozen Monday in the north-west Piedmont would also add insult to misery.

mackerel_sky
I said it in banter, but I'll say it here. How many of you think a Low will actually plow direct into this in-situ wedge? That sadly seems to be what all models are trending to! But, the shortwaves haven't even come on shore yet!

SnowNiner
Thats a good thump of rain. I remember last week the discussion was whether or not there was going to be a storm....any moisture to run into the entrenched cold air. Now it's the opposite, plenty o' storm, notta lotta cold. TiltedStorm
So you all think that will erode away the CAD areas faster?
POWERSTROKE
Unless this storm gets shoved into tuesday a.m. start time, you can start selling tickets for big frosty favorite musician. Cause vanilla ice is coming to the triad and will be putting on a blockbuster. These dp/ wetbulb are just to low to argue otherwise. Throw in the meso high possibilities and regardless of loosing hp in the ne it's gonna be a big mess assuming qpf is up near 1 inch. I just hope we can get a few hours snow on the frontend, now that may end up being a stretch, but warning criteria ice is pretty apparent to me as of right now. LOL we talked last night about ice ice baby
BullCityWx
Arpege destroys us.... Hmmm. Actually looks similar to the Ukmet just a little weaker with the surface low. This is the best run we have seen since the 12z euro for a couple days ago Even Columbia stays frozen for the whole event vive la france
StormyClearweather
Awfully quiet in here for the biggest Euro run in a GENERATION. Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating a little.

Looks a lot more strung out and less amped.

superjames1992
The Euro is slower with the HP jetting off, but also a bit slower with the storm. Precip entering at hr 96. Looks to be amping up by hr 102, so this isn't going to be as good as last night.

superjames1992
Maybe 1" of snow for a decent portion of NC with the initial WAA wave, but the main event is going to be a disaster.
