That wasn't just at you, Hubbdave is declaring this season worse than 2011-12 because he got 23" in 11-12 and he has 21" this season. That's a little ridiculous, given that March 2012 isn't walking through the door on February 21st, or March 1st, 2016.

I actually got 46" in 2011-2012. 24 in October, 22 the rest of the way

October isn't really the season though. It was a freak event outside of winter.

I think the official amounts go July 1 to June 30

You still need to include it...we get October snows often enough... Maybe 25% of the time measurable...similar to April?

I doubt I end up under the 2011/2012 non October total but it could be close.

I thought siggy April would be more common than siggy October. Maybe not up your way though. I guess you're right it counts.

ORH average 0.2" in October and 2.8" in April

 

Longterm numbers are a bit higher ('81-'10 numbers are kind of a disaster anyway with the bad data in late '90s/early '00s)...like 0.6" and 3.9" I think...but yeah, April is def more prone to snow than October.
