40/70 Benchmark
Difficult to say with much detail--my only confidence is in saying this likely isn't a cutter.. But my gut says I'd take the 850 mb low at hr 108 on the 18z GFS and slide that ENE/NE, and maintain it as an intense open wave, going over NJ/LI, and continue that trajectory to near Cape Cod. Would mean a snowier/colder solution for many folks in the interior and NNE. This.

MJO812
Have to watch and see if that kicker behind the storm makes it go further east.
LongBeachSurfFreak
We are solidly in the pick your model of choice time frame. As it stands I would want to be at whiteface for this. That's going to be an awful shaft zone at high elevation in sky country based on the current "modeled" track. I can see this being PF'S storm as well

CoastalWx
These wobbles or ticks are usual this far out. If this somehow went over CHH it would surprise me. But I still think western areas into PF need to watch.
moneypitmike
One thing to watch is the extent of any icing before things wash away. The impact of the cool antecedent days should allow for a little more glaze than what we might typically see. In the big picture it won't matter too much as it gets washed away--at least as the EC and EPS show. GFS only lightly more interesting

moneypitmike
The difference of 2" of snow before it washes away or 4" of snow before it washes away. Either way, we lose.
