1234snow
image.jpg I'm very surprised at those ending snow times 12z is at 7, 15z at 10 and possibly 17z at a noon. They must be throwing the models to the side and nowcasting. Carvers I find it very interesting that we end up with nearly the same totals. We have a very similar climate. I have 3 inches on the driveway and 3.5 in the grass.

I'm not exactly understanding what's going on with that. Could be the back side of the clipper? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Vol Man
Ended just a tad under 3" in East Kingsport (Indian Springs)....temp still at 27, down a little since sundown. It will be interesting to see how much precip fills back in and how long it stays snow, with hopefully a short transition thru the sleet/ZR. Stovepipe
Well the NAM initialized with the precip wrong (not showing what we see moving across the plateau now), but has freezing surface for east TN and upper Cumberland through 6z. 850s warm for everyone but John. By 9z a finger of warmer surface temps is working its way up to the central valley.

John1122
Precip is still barely to my north. If Corbin is freezing rain I suspect I may be as well. Though it's 22 here still vs 27 there.

John1122
With the way the precip is moving again, it might be hours before it even gets 10 miles down to my area. It's training over the same areas.
JayCee
The moon is currently out here, so some clearing has actually taken place. With calm winds, that's not conducive for any warming.
1234snow
This stuff isn't moving southeast too fast. Makes me nervous. SEKY and Lee and Wise counties will get buried if they stay snow. 24 here patently waiting.

Uncle Nasty
Hopefully the warm air can hold off for you guys. The temp on my weather station has jumped from 33* to 42* in the last hour. We never saw the first drop of rain today.
JayCee
I don't know if anyone noticed, but Crossville has suddenly jumped to 36F, and Chatty jumped from 34 to 42 in one hour. Definitely a sign of some WAA.

John1122
The models showed this SW to NE set up, but most showed it about 50-100 miles south. It will slowly rotate SE but right now it's not in a big hurry.

I'm southwest of Knox in the Valley by about 40 miles as the crow files and 26 still with a NE wind. 25.1 here about 6 miles northeast of Sevierville. Again, I see the moon out, and the temp has slowly been dropping from the high of 26.4. Didn't even get close to the forecasted high in the 30s.
