burrel2
Looks like I'm about to have some precipitation here based on radar. I'm curious to see what falls. Hoping for snow, but it'll probably be some light sleet. Temp is currently 34/23.

Snow haven
looks like I may get a flurry here based on radar that is coming into rockingham currently 30/9 http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=rax&product=N0R&overlay=11101111&loop=no
olafminesaw
The HRRR and RAP both are insistent on a bulls-eye over Nags head and to the WSW to Washington/Williamston. It's been a long time since I've been in the bulls-eye of a storm.
NCSNOW
Well the echoes coming across the TN NC line are having no trouble reaching the ground, snow is flying. These echoes unlike most situations should break containment. Going to find out over the next 60-90 minutes. This is what you want to watch espeacilly from the triangle back west if you want to see flakes fly today. Use the mossiac radar its great at giving an accurate picture imo. Have to say I'm a little encouraged looking at the ground obs and webcams along with how hefty that slug of moisture looks coming into NC at the moment. Next hour and half will be telling. rawlee
I am a eternal optimist though. That'a boy Pack! The Fishel JCD game is strongggg on this website. I've been listening to him for 30+ years here growing up, good met and all but he does have more than a few busts on his resume. They all do. downeastnc
Visibly on sat and radar you can see slp trying to get organized along the se coast. C'mon baby. Most models don't show the surface low until after 10-11 am so that's sounds right on track to me....just hope the models are to light with QPF and that the moisture makes it farther inland...the next 6-10 hrs could be very interesting or very frustrating. fountainguy97
I'm just west of Wendell. Nice deep cloud deck to my southeast..... Have a feeling I'll be saying "to my southeast" a lot today. Rgem was a good run and HRRR also drops 2 for pgv Also pgv already had returns overhead eating down to the surface. Should set up a line from pgv to Goldsboro for best snow

The action looks to be coming in high and fast. This SPC mesoscale analysis shows frontogenesis on the coast where the slp should form.
RevDodd
Watching that slug of moisture on radar moving east out of Moore into Hoke Co.
