I'm thinking I wind up about where I was last night (-15 to -17). Dp is near -20 here but the temp is dropping slower than I would have expected. CapturedNature
-15° here. About where I was thinking I would wind up this morning. Too bad we had some high clouds because 8° is great launching point for a radiational cooling night with HP moving in.

tamarack
Radiation FTW - bottomed at -22, making it 14-of-18 winters touching -20 or below. Yesterday's 2/-17 will be the season's coldest daily mean, however, and far ahead of today for "daily discomfort."
tamarack
The -29 and 54mph it mentions only equals -73F as well. With a temp of -29F they would need a sustained wind of like 300mph to reach -110F. lol Edit...looks like they were using the old formula for wind chill. Your edit is just what I figured as well. On the old scale I had -101 WCI on Jan 17-18, 1982 (-30 with winds 40 on 17th and -34 with winds 35 n 18th.) Only about -70 on the current scale, so no more bragging rights.
