MacintoshPro
I think the CWG absolutely nailed this forecast... Coating-2" for The DC south folks, which mostly verified save for downtown, 2-5" for the N/W crew, which was almost perfect.
Jebman
Steadier snow now, some of it is trying to stick on the bushes lol
cae
I've had light snow most of the day and lost 1/4". Down to 1.5" on the ground. 34 degrees.

I'm looking at 1/4 inch on top of old snow piles lol.
Jebman
It comes and goes, but it was snowing moderately there for a while. It's 33 degrees. It tried real hard to stick on the cartop and on top of the bushes, on the green leaves which never die in the winter.
Jebman
Are you down to 32 like stormpc? It keeps fluctuating between 32 and 33.

EastCoast NPZ
Yeah, I was being sarcastic. Yesterday NWS said 6-8 inches for us. We have wet grass and pavement. Mine was for 3 - 5 inches. I have full sun, dry grass and pavement.
Stormpc
The Sun popping out. Snow over. Temp back up to 34. that was my storm. Lasted all of 20 minutes. Not going to complain. On to the next one. Good luck for the north.
Jebman
Sun is tryin to peek out now, I think we might be in the eye are done with this storm. NWS nailed it for me, so did the majority of the models. Always knew that sexy NAM run was an outlier.
WinterWxLuvr
Yeah, for my area it was spot on Yeah, I could see the forecast for you guys. It had support. But out here, there was no support for it. Of course, one always hopes, but we really knew what was coming (those of us west of the BR)
BTRWx
D.C. splits and break ups have to be linked to the urban heat island effect. Perhaps local vegetation is more important to the atmosphere than you'd think?
Jebman
Band may be headed for the southside of DC.

Grothar of Herndon
Steadier snow now, some of it is trying to stick on the bushes lol You may end up with more snow than me and it basically snowed here for 7 hours.
eurojosh
Perhaps I'm being a glutton for punishment, but 4k NAM does show potential for an inch overnight for DC...
Jebman
Perhaps I'm being a glutton for punishment, but 4k NAM does show potential for an inch overnight for DC... Once that sun goes down - temps will fall, and a few more snowshowers will give DC an inch. Oh wait, thats the NAM

poolz1
.37" qpf recorded since midnight. As far as last minute model runs, the euro did the best for mby. Would have been a decent little event if temps were in the mid-upper 20s. Colder air filtering in now...down to 32.3 and the last of the snow showers are starting to dust things again. EastCoast NPZ
Looks like my final precip total for this "storm" was .07", almost all of which was drizzle. I beleive it was 12z Euro yesterday which showed .1" for Winchester. Nailed it.
