PhineasC
RAP will be wrong again. I see no way this turns into a 8-10 inch snow for Baltimore.
PhineasC
That looks nothing at all like the RAP output on IWM. Yeah, IWM RAP shows like a couple of inches. Seems way more reasonable.

Symblized
About 0.3 on grassy surfaces and the deck in Towson with very light steady snow. 8 inches? Doubt it.
RichmondTarHeel
Just dropped to 31 at my house. Dusting on the ground, roads and sidewalks fine. Looks like a rain/snow mix here in Herndon.
Expat
Steady snow already sticking to roofs and elevated surfaces
MacintoshPro
Just dropped to 31 at my house. Dusting on the ground, roads and sidewalks fine. Looks like a rain/snow mix here in Herndon. There must be a warm Layer somewhere...

Warm Nose
Nice big flakes falling at a slow but steady pace. Only about an inch on pavement but it looks pretty.
RichmondTarHeel
There must be a warm Layer somewhere... Yeah, radar has been showing a mix over top of points from Reston west to Sterling all morning. Would be nice to change over to all snow.

PhineasC
Radar is the biggest issue now. When I get echoes overhead it rips pretty good. But the precip is broken and scattered outside of the usual deathband area.
mappy
Looks amazing outside, haven't gone out yet but has to be at least a few inches maybe an inch. just made the drive in to Hunt Valley and I'd be shocked if I was able to measure a solid inch anywhere at work. Roads are wet and slushy. Had an inch at home though!
das
Yeah...it looks like Clarksburg is getting hit hard right now although the snow has pretty much stopped here for now. It was bombing snow when I left at 7:15am. It was just passing 3 inches at that time. I'm passing thru Gaithersburg now and it's like a different world. WxUSAF
Had a nice 15min burst of fatties, but now back to tiny flakes. Up to 0.5" with that burst and had a little accumulation on the driveway.
PhineasC
Clarksburg, specifically das' house, always rips in these marginal events. He's in a good spot.
