frostbite_falls
Appears to have finally switched over here in north Harford. Light coating on trash cans etc., not sticking elsewhere.
midatlanticweather
Geez if it's still cold rain in Purceville it could take a long time to switch. I saw the AFD that said snow levels were at 700 feet at 9:33 PM. Would think at 500 it would not take long to overcome that.. still just cold rain. psuhoffman
This is starting to look like a Dolly Parton type of bust. oh I agree... its amazing how quickly things turned pretty bad. Everything trended north to some extent at 0z, some worse then others but nothing was better then its previous run. Really awful for the last model run before were into the even and they become useless. The nowcast stuff looks kinda pathetic too. At this time just have to hope the 0z stuff was a last second false alarm and the trends from the last few runs turn out correct. But I was referring to how my max potential is at the lower end of what they are actually forecasting and the maps were generated around the same time so its not that one is updated. They continue to have this issue with that product.

cae
Switched to SN- in downtown Baltimore. Very odd looking RN/SN line. Light snow here as well, 34/33. North of the city, the RN/SN line appears to follow the elevation contours.

paulythegun
Yeah I think the lack of posts pretty much speaks for itself. The NAM is a cruel temptress, like a Siren hypnotizing you with its tantalizing QPF. And before you know it, you're crashing into the rocky shoals of dry reality, a place where thundersnow doesn't randomly pop up for 10 hours straight.
