mitchnick
Snow is not that far up. I was just at the Sam's Club in Severn and the jets take off from bwi and fly right over it. By the time they are just past Sam's the lights on the jets start to become obscured and the flashes illuminate the area around the jets. That's snow. Can't be more than 800' up. Casualbrain
Just got 10 minutes of a heavy snow band (following a steady drizzle all afternoon) in Roanoke. Snow fizzled out and none stuck to the too warm ground. Was almost whiteout for a bit while driving however. NWS even put out an alert in advance about it.https://inws.ncep.noaa.gov/a/a.php?i=335243

MacintoshPro
39/33...pretending like the RAP and HRRR don't exist and hoping the 0z NAM smokes us It seems like us DC folks are doing pretty good on temps... I see some 38s and 39s. Do you think we're better off than the GFS had us so far?
Bob Chill
This first area of precip was rain on all guidance. The stuff coming up from RIC is supposed to blossom and expand later on. That's when mixing and eventual changeover should occur. If that doesn't happen we can start discussing problems.

midatlanticweather
39/33...pretending like the RAP and HRRR don't exist and hoping the 0z NAM smokes us I am starting to feel the bust factor... but maybe it is premature panic. But it is a small event and I was not expecting much, but a good snowball or 2 would be fun!
