yuki neko
was there a super wet SREF or HRRRRR or something??? What is NWS on? Did a Weenie hack the system? It was the 4k NAM 41.5/30 and very light rain in Bethesda
BTRWx
They dropped the min in the favored areas to 0, upped the max to 8-12 into DC metro and increased the most likely to warning levels a tier south. I ask the question...why?? uh oh. Weren't you the developer of that system?
Kat
The big question is what are the amounts early on while the surface temp is above 34F. It's NAMtastic. 59% of 4 inches according to NWS at the national mall. That's dreamy.
MacintoshPro
Your obs are always some of the most depressing on this forum. Yeah it seems I'm 2 degrees below him, which is weird because we are very close. was there a super wet SREF or HRRRRR or something??? What is NWS on? Did a Weenie hack the system? If you look at their min/max maps they look like the 12z NAM and the 18z NAM. Its pretty funny. For the most likely, it seems like they favor the GFS and Euro for precipitation, but are a little cooler here than the warm GFS.

MacintoshPro
was there a super wet SREF or HRRRRR or something??? What is NWS on? Did a Weenie hack the system? 4k NAM gave DC and areas surrounding 8-12"
Windman18
Can't remember last time nws had such a large area with a min. of 0 and a max. of 8-12. Guess this is a very low confidence forecast.

I ask the question...why?? Yeah, that's a bit of a WTF, I have to say. I can perhaps see a flat-out 0 for the min in the metro DC area, but not up that way. The min is less than 1" right up to near the PA border in northeast MD. Must be leaving a wide open range for a bust or something.

MacintoshPro
I made a thread for LWX comments: http://www.americanwx.com/bb/index.php/topic/47837-lwx-forecastscomplaintspraise-thread/ Mods can maybe move all that stuff there, since people have been complaining about it clogging up this thread. MN Transplant
Your obs are always some of the most depressing on this forum. Lost a degree since if that helps. I actually do well in borderline cases, at least as far as the immediate metro goes (Mar 2013 was a decent month). I suck for radiational cooling.
