Nice! Only about a 1/2" here, steady light snow with occasion bursts of moderate. 31f. Our 10mi or so spacing may make a real difference on this one

 

I think it depends how these bands play out. It's snowing harder here than radar would lead you to believe. East of me must be getting rocked right now.

Agreed. Upton's latest discussion suggests heavier bands may setup over central rather than eastern suffolk. We'll see. Light snow continues, 31f.

Looks like the push west has stopped.

 

Yeah, it definitely appears to have for the time, but I'm not so sure that will be permanent.  I think the "drier air" to the west has caused a bit of a mesoscale band to form in WRN Nassau on the latest image and it has briefly caused the area to the west to dry up but that may change.

Good call. Flurries here and it's expanding west again.
