The Iceman
With the shift west on the NAM matching the Euro, it looks like a general 1-3/2-4 from 95 east. May be warm to start but should flip to wet snow pretty quickly. May be a good surprise thump for the area. Figured it's worthy of it's own thread as it looks like a good portion of the area should see accumulating snow other than NW burbs.
The Iceman
12z RGEM is 2-4" across SE PA into Jersey. Closer to 4-5" along the coast.
Birds~69
Temps are going to be an issue for many. At least it's arriving at good time if that even helps...
SP
Agree on temps. Going to be the end all be all providing the moisture is there. Hunch roads should do ok considering warm ground....unless rates kick up at the wrong/bad time.

The Iceman
Gotta think MT Holly will be issuing WWA for the area this afternoon. I bet the general public is already going to be caught off guard from this storm.
The Iceman
Euro/Ukmet/ggem all came west in 12z. Looks like 2-4 inches is a solid bet for extreme SE PA into NJ. More as you get closer to the coast. temps look borderline but even taking out a chunk of precip as rain, it's looking more and more like 2-4". B Dawk 20
Cross posting from the banter thread, forgive me if it's OT, but what do we think impact is going to be in the Trenton/Hamilton area? I don't relish driving my Prius to the train in the morning if it's going to be a mess

I don't relish driving my Prius to the train in the morning if it's going to be a mess most models are spitting out around 3 inches but precip cuts off around 7 am tomorrow maybe a little afterwards. with the borderline temps, I don't think main roads will be a big issue. anthonyweather
Strong consensus of 2-4 philly S&E With one model showing 2" into the Lehigh valley , but a realistic shot at a dusting there. Sent from my LG-H900 using Tapatalk

Birds~69
NBC10 (Shenna) barely going w/1-2" from Philly through mid Jersey...then 2-4" east to the shore. Just N-W of Philly coating - 1". All places mainly grassy areas.

Redmorninglight
Does more moisture mean warmer? Even if half that QPF is frozen I get 6". Is that realistic?

Ralph Wiggum
Loving the Hrrr tonight tho Im not sure how trustworthy it is in these situations. Crept even farther West with precip shield.....now has the .75 line just into extreme SE PA and still snowing lightly thereafter.

Back roads 50/50 depending on the intensity. Just a guess....it's been warm and we'll be staying in the 30's for the storm.
