CNY-LES FREAK
Nam cut Syracuse in Half snow wise, KROC is still 14-18" i'd say but it went too far west to where the Cuse goes over to rain for a while. Not a good sign but it could go the other way but with no blocking, +NAO there is nothing stopping this from coming further West either so........ That was a bad bad run for me, but a good one for KROC and I have told you guys already many times. Sit back and enjoy, as this one's for you guys seriously!! CNY-LES FREAK
I cant believe how bad modeling has become as were within 18 hrs of snow beginning ( well my case sleet/snow) and we still don't know for certain whats going to occur as far as sensible weather is concerned! CNY-LES FREAK
KBUF has a warning with no precip. according to the GFS, but there's a Warning posted, lol? Where's the justification for warning snows coming from, the NAM, EURO? I'm just annoyed is all as I just cant believe that we get a system to come up East of the apps and we still manage to get *uckin RAIN!! How is this a rain Track in Synoptic Meteorology?? I mean am I missing something here??
ayuud11
3-5" for Buffalo, i think BUF is on lala land with that 8-15" call.
CNY-LES FREAK
If we ran with that track, if that in fact verifies as the ultimate track, and if we still rain I will quit following the weather as everything I've learned is false, lol. A stacked system passes you to your East, and rain still manages to fall??
OSUmetstud
Everything you or I see on Social Media is basically old material as the NWS and most other agencies are behind the 8 ball when it comes to forecasting for the public. We have just as much data at our fingertips, as a Met does who's job is formulating a forecast in the NWS offices across our great Country! CNY-LES FREAK
The surface track is actually fine but its the 850 low track as well as the 950 that are stupid warm. So there you have it folks, I spent 7 days ultimately tracking a rain storm with some slop at the beginning!

A modest strength sfc low with a big high to the east and a low to the nw will do that to u. But what the hell do i know im just a met.
