jaxjagman
Winter Weather advisories inbound. This is a surprise. Cool, going to Maryville tonight, perfect timing
John1122
MRX only issued WWA for the Mountains and SWVA. Not sure why they have my area in 2-3 inches on their graphic but didn't issue any products for me. Oh well, what happens will regardless of WWA or not. I'd guess I'll be closer an inch than 2-3 anyway.
Silas Lang
Well I know the big storm is looking iffy, but this small event is looking nice. May as well enjoy the snow we get.
Jed33
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing Silas. Take one event at a time. Overall, it's been a snowy cold wintry week!

I just got into Maryville,so i cant help any.Looking at the radar it don't look half bad that way, more than any model showed
tnweathernut
RGEM snowfall output. Might be some tricky travel in parts of east TN. Local news was downplaying this last night. It's the kind of system at a terrible time (am rush) that could prove troublesome.
Jed33
MRX added another couple counties to the southern end of the advisory. Looks like a good call. Radar looking pretty decent right now.
JayCee
A very narrow, but intense band of snow has moved over me this morning, and also into parts of Jefferson County south of Dandridge. I picked up a quick half-inch of snow before the main area of snow even arrives. Terrible timing for the morning commute.
Reb
No wwa here but a dusting, snowing, and radar pretty.
JayCee
Considering the band that just moved through is along and south of I-40, and upstream radars look to affect areas further south as well, I think the WWA should be expanded south a bit. Its snowing more south of the WWA, currently.
Reb
Heavy snow now under just light dbz, heavier returns coming my way

JayCee
Agreed JayCee. Congrats on the quick snow! Thanks. Enjoying it because not sure about Monday's event yet.
Jed33
Got to enjoy it day by day. One system at a time. This looks pretty good right now on radar. Never know it may over perform too. The Middle TN Plateau is getting a nice hit as we speak.
JayCee
The main band of snow is about to move into East TN now. Everyone in East TN should see some snow, but honestly, the heavier returns look south of the current WWA area. Everyone enjoy whatever snow they get. Starting to come down here again now. JayCee
Snow pouring here again. Really coming down, but the flakes are smaller in size. Looks like a dense fog, actually. Some pretty intense radar returns just to my west. I think this system may over perform for some.
bearman
Coming down pretty hard in West Knoxville now. Very nice surprise.
bearman
Kinda surprised that MRX did not update the wwa further south but this late in the event they usually hold serve.
Jed33
Yeah, need to add more counties, but too late I guess. Just starting here. Very fine flakes right now

JayCee
Closing in on an inch here thanks to the first heavy band before daybreak. More snow than the previous two dustings by far. Grass disappearing with this one.
1234snow
MRX has missed this one so far. Should of added those southern counties.
JayCee
Heavier radar returns are staying near and south of I-40, and one is moving in here now. Visibility is the lowest so far in snow this winter. If only this could last all day long.
Reb
Everything covered here now probably an inch. Wrecks everywhere
