Advisory issued for the Northern Valley:

 

..WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 4 PM EST
FRIDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MORRISTOWN HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 4 PM
EST FRIDAY.

* EVENT...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED. THE
GREATEST ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL BEGIN AROUND SUNRISE. SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS
SNOW SHOWERS WILL LINGER INTO FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...ROAD CONDITIONS WILL BE DETERIORATING FRIDAY
MORNING...AND HAZARDOUS ROAD CONDITIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE
THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TRAVEL WILL LIKELY BECOME HAZARDOUS ONCE THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION
BEGINS. MOTORISTS NEED TO BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL ON BRIDGES AND
OVERPASSES WHERE SLIPPERY SPOTS OFTEN DEVELOP FIRST.
