TARHEELPROGRAMMER
Because it is a hit for NE SC and SE NC away from the immediate coast... Areas like Tabor City, NC look decent. I am in Boiling Spring Lakes which is a little ways north of Southport, NC. Using a Southport, NC address. Should be inland some but probably not enough. Sigh lol. BullCityWx
Stop what? Asking questions on a weather board? First of all, James knows what he is talking about. Secondly, the culture around here for two decades now has frowned upon IMBY questions. You're new. I know picking up on stuff like this sometimes is hard to pick up on messages boards so I'm just trying to help.
BullCityWx
Still looks too warm in places like Conway. Probably gonna have to get back to Marion to see snow.

I asked why he mentioned the area then to get clarification about certain areas not to call him wrong. You are pointing out some stuff based on what you thought I was implying. Go Panthers by the way.
goldman75
Yeah, I was hoping to travel to loris to see some snow. It's about 45 mins from here, right next to tabor city. Marion is doable though as long as it doesn't cut into super bowl time . Who knows what the next model will show.

superjames1992
CIPS analog fun... The #2 analog is the January 2011 OBX crusher. The #4 analog is the December 1989 storm that I'm sure many on the coast remember quite well. The #5 analog is the February 2010 Valentine's Day deep south snowstorm. The #6 analog is March 2, 1980 (haha on that one).

Yeah that #5 was the storm I was talking about when I vacationed on Oak Island, NC and seen the water ways covered in snow and was so beautiful. Shawn
I don't think the outcome is going to drastically change this run. Need it neutral by 48.
FallsLake
I don't think the outcome is going to drastically change this run. Need it neutral by 48. It still a little more west than the 12z at hour 48. We really don't need much.

superjames1992
[brick] Word on the street is the EPS is a little west with a little more precip for eastern NC/SC [/brick] Haha. Yeah, the EPS snow mean now has 1"+ for a lot of E NC and NE SC with a pocket of 2"+. Quite an uptick from the 00z run.
Shawn
Has it been going negative earlier on each run? It's just been trending too late for inland areas. I think just 24 hours ago there was a bit of hope on ensembles and some OP runs.
WeatherNC
Nam is pretty close to being a big deal for the Coastal Plain, especially with that radar sim at 72 hrs. Shift that NW 150 miles and we would be cooking with peanut oil for sure.
