To show a trace vs a tenth vs 1 full inch I guess. It'd be silly to keep a logarithmic trend going but ya I guess it's kinda strange anyway.

 

My mapping pet peeve is COD velocity radars that show green between like 14 and 78knots or something and I can't tell the difference between any of them lol.

Give that model some credit -- it was tied with the Ukie for the first thing to sniff this out. I didn't post it here for fear of ridicule but I commented on it to my forecast team and we laughed it off, guess it gets the last laugh there though.

I think it's more for Central and Western Suffolk. Upton lowered the snowfall totals on the forks and upped them closer to Islip - hence the upgrade I would guess. Unless 4" is warning criteria of Upton.
