ryanjn
Thanks. And why does the "1-2" have four different shades of colors?? To show a trace vs a tenth vs 1 full inch I guess. It'd be silly to keep a logarithmic trend going but ya I guess it's kinda strange anyway. My mapping pet peeve is COD velocity radars that show green between like 14 and 78knots or something and I can't tell the difference between any of them lol. RUNNAWAYICEBERG
They also uped the amounts within the advisory area to 4-6 for CT. And added Orange county to the list.. Yea, borderline warning criteria imo...splitting hairs. But I think spots from Easton to Hamden can pull of 8", maybe 10".

SR Airglow
The Germans are coming Give that model some credit -- it was tied with the Ukie for the first thing to sniff this out. I didn't post it here for fear of ridicule but I commented on it to my forecast team and we laughed it off, guess it gets the last laugh there though. eduggs
Most guidance has between .3 and .6 liquid equiv. for western CT. Most pro and rec. forecasts I've seen show 0-3" I will be interesting to see who's right. I think elevated interior SWCT could rip. Maybe even up towards NWCT for a short while. RIcoastalWX
...and for us folks on eastern long island too. I think it's more for Central and Western Suffolk. Upton lowered the snowfall totals on the forks and upped them closer to Islip - hence the upgrade I would guess. Unless 4" is warning criteria of Upton.
