CAPE
It snows for like 35 hours on the NAM, and most places get an inch or 2. With the warm surface temps, likely nothing will accumulate during the daylight hours outside of some localized heavier bands. By the time the real deal cold gets in most places will probably have no snow on the ground.
Bob Chill
I'd be perfectly happy watching snow fall for 35 hours.
Scarlet Pimpernel
24 pages for 2-4/1-3/ maybe jackpot somewhere of 6? could be worse. Ha! Well, don't forget we did have some 22 pages for a "possible flurries/snow showers" event about a week or so before the blizzard! And I've seen car-topper threads in the past go on for quite awhile! CAPE
My goal for this event is to measure an inch of snow on the ground at some point. That will get me to climo avg.
Bob Chill
snow tv ftw Watching snow fall should be #1 on the weenie priority list. The more hours per season the better. I only slept for 3 hours during the blizzard and was still bummed I missed those hours.

Then I woke up to a 6 hour dry slot and watched intermittent pixie dust fall.

snowfan
JB2 tweeted this am that snow was dumping in NC and was going to accumulate. I wonder if he thinks his readers have no idea to check obs to verify that garbage?

I only slept for 3 hours during the blizzard and was still bummed I missed those hours.I agree. Falling snow is my favorite type of weather. I also love that 30 minute period right before the first flakes fall (especially before a significant event). It's almost magical in a way. I like to hike into the woods so I'm away from distraction when the first flakes peacefully drift to the ground. During the blizzard I took a nap during the dryslot. That was it lol. I stayed up for the entire blizzard of 96. I was up for over 30 hours. I slept like a baby when it was over.
snowfan
Sleep is not a priority during an HECS. I slept 4:30-7a sat morning. I don't think I missed more than an 1/2" of the 21" that fell imby.
