Solak
*Time sensitive loop* Do these 2 skinny bands of clouds pushing SW to NE have a specific name or feature attributed to them? It's not the warm front coming back North. That's still bisecting northern GA and SE SC. We've sure had some interesting cloud patterns this winter. http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/wfo/rah/h5-loop-vis.html

SharonA
Daaaaaaaaannnng ... blast (aka "WTFWTHAT????" surprise gust) passed through here (Winston) about 10 minutes ago. It shook the house, caused some limb cracking outside, and a brief brownout. A few minutes before it had been lightly raining - just enough to make a convenient excuse to put off taking the trash out until tomorrow, but not enough to be a problem. Radar's showing lots of discrete junk passing over, with the general trend of an eastward shift for the Alabama activity. I wonder how much of the action will make it to Atlanta metro, or whether the effort of trashing Alabama will take all the piss and vinegar out of yet another cell.
