I got some very good advise. I have to get over this fear of driving in snow in the mountains. That's the main reason why I was hesitant to go somewhere high in elevation. I want to experience a big snow so bad but I'm nervous :(

You always want to go to Avery County for the best snow.  You have to remember that they treat the roads as they do in the north because they have the equipment to handle it.  I would much rather be there than some place like Andrews or Murphy that experience far less snow.

Don't worry about temps or moisture for this upcoming threat next week. Wild model variability will continue to exist run to run. Fun times ahead.

I lie to myself and tell myself I am not gonna watch all the runs etc this week an that I wont let stupid clown maps get my hopes up if it shows a hit for MBY......

I can see this trending to a later solution and a front end 1-2" of sleet/snow, just because the receding air mass is cold and so dry, then 1" of rain! No science, just how we roll!

Not again. We've taken our punishment. This is the one. Legit arctic air mass, tall ridge out west...this is the redeemer. Could be a Feb '14 repeat for some. Something magical about that Feb 10-17 time period...
