CherokeeGA
I got some very good advise. I have to get over this fear of driving in snow in the mountains. That's the main reason why I was hesitant to go somewhere high in elevation. I want to experience a big snow so bad but I'm nervous Go before it starts, stay until it melts. Jet Stream Rider
Great pic and info jburns! Thanks for that. You know, cold and dry would be rather nice for a while I think. Good hiking weather. Followed of course by a nice wide spread snow storm for the forum.

BullCityWx
Spent 4 hours on the tractor scraping and recrowning ours on Sat. The damn thing took almost 5 days to totally melt. Shady spots were impossible to get over then it turned into the slop you see up north once the ground unfreezes.

mackerel_sky
Brick already going full weenie on the Euro run ! Breaking the rule he said he was gonna start doing, which was going to only watch local news and come in here 2 days before the event and complaining about getting screwed! CherokeeGA
Euro giveth For the next few hours, anyway. Times like this, I like to think that there really are infinite parallel universes, and somewhere in another one of those universes, my parallel self will get to enjoy 12" of snow. CherokeeGA
lol.... It ain't gonna melt this week. It would solve his weenie "I can't drive in the snow" problem though. Then again, so would buying a plane ticket to somewhere with a few feet of snow and paying the locals to drive him around in a Polaris. Maybe he should just do that. You have to remember that they treat the roads as they do in the north because they have the equipment to handle it. I would much rather be there than some place like Andrews or Murphy that experience far less snow.

mackerel_sky
I can see this trending to a later solution and a front end 1-2" of sleet/snow, just because the receding air mass is cold and so dry, then 1" of rain! No science, just how we roll!

No science, just how we roll! Not again. We've taken our punishment. This is the one. Legit arctic air mass, tall ridge out west...this is the redeemer. Could be a Feb '14 repeat for some.
