Picked up only 0.9" of wet slop this morning.  Even that small amount was awful to shovel.  It had turned to rain while I was outside.  The trees were dripping and water was pooling.  It was nice to see heavy snow falling during daylight for the first, and perhaps only, time this winter, but I really don't care for these slop systems at all.

Graupel with some big snowflakes mixed in. I'm watching the radar change over from rain to a mix/snow over the lake with the heavy bands. Maybe we can get some more wintry weather and less rain than expected around here.

Sounds like the way it was here. Now it is just -RN, with thunder.

Pretty cool having two thunder storms with sleet in the same winter. About 0.1" of sleet and rain.

heavy rain shield organizing of chicagoland, going to be nice to wash away the grime

out at ORD, getting trained with heavy rain/thunder

well modeled weenie band of rain delivering for NW chicagoland

Tough times when Alek is hyping a "heavy" rain event.

Anyways, awful day of weather here. Looks fun in MSP-land though. Enjoy it to all up there.
