I am not a big city person hate traffic, however if those in area want to meet up for a few beers let's see if we can make it happen, forum has been jumping lately after this past storm let's put a face to the name....Meet up in Bucks, Delaware, Camden, Burlington Counties or even do a Mt Holly NWS visit and I know a really good bar 5 min down the road from there

I never made it to any of the Americanwx conferences, but I'd probably be down for something. Just make sure it isn't during or before a big storm ;)

That would actually be the ideal setting like 36-48 hours prior to a hit :-) We could discuss the models in person as guidance rolled out on our smart phones. I'm game whenever tho even if that means spring or summer.

Total geek-fest! Imagine the looks we would get once people understand what we are talking about.

if Bucks county, I would suggest the Green Parrot in Newtown or Millers Ale House off 611 in Willow Grove. But anywhere is good for me, there's a couple spots in Doyelstown I'd suggest as well.

Iron Hill Brewery on 309 (Montco) and believe it or not, the Pub at the Whole Foods Market at Plymouth Meeting has an outstanding microbrew selection on tap and reasonably priced contrary to popular belief. Food is good too. Easily accessible right at the mid-county interchange (476/276).

I am sending Mt Holly an email see if they are willing to have us for a few hours, since they post here and know some of you, if they are willing to spend a few hours, maybe during one of their balloon launches as an educational visit....Any other suggestions?

Not sure who you emailed at my office, but last I heard there are no tours or group visits until further notice due to short staffing.

Hey, you guys could ask the owner for a temporary name change to Miller A's House... :snowing:

I like the idea of Willow Grove area - about 45 minutes for me and probably similar for many of you that are a little further out from the city.

Thanks!

Paul

Yeah the Ale House in Willow Grove that was previously mentioned is on 611 as soon as you get off the Turnpike 276. Fairly convenient it would seem.

They would probably say WTF, get kicked out and send you to the mental institution which is 5 minutes right down 611/Easton Rd make a right on Fitzwatertown Rd.

This whole get together is getting wayyy too close to my house...
