Temps are very quickly on the rise this morning.  Was 47 at 11am, and already up to 54 as we approach noon.  Looks like temps will overachieve again today, and should make it into the low 60s before the front hits by 3pm.  Just like yesterday we should see a good 20 degree drop in about 3hrs between 3 and 6pm.

Gave it a good run, but temp stalled at 58, and has since dropped back to 54.  Only 25 miles southwest at MLI they're up to 64, so quite the range.

I just got a super winter blast at 3:12 pm when nearly out of the blue a wave of sizable graupel with 55 mph winds roared through! It was making all sorts of noise on the windows. Lasted a minute and then some minor bursts came in for the next hour. It created a trace or more in 1 min. The lowest level winds were insane, just screaming; the high pitched noise and creaking occurred more times than in any other time I can recall.

This is like the 3rd time this winter a huge blast comes in and lasts for a few minutes. It will be remembered as the winter of short intense crushings. As suspected, this was a frontal snow squall band (the wall) that shows up very well on radar. Its always the wall  :) .

Will finish Feb with 0.25" of precip measured in the weather station's gauge.  I'm sure there was at least a few tenths more than that from snow that blew out, etc.  Probably more like 0.40-0.50" in actuality.  DVN to the west will finish with 0.38".  So overall a fairly dry month in this area.  Snowfall total for Feb was 3.0".  Highest temp (yesterday) was 63, and lowest was 1 above on the 13th.  Highest weather station gust was 54mph on the 19th, but guessing we had gusts over 60mph that day at regulation anemometer height.  Other than the very impressive gradient wind event on the 19th this will be a very forgettable month to be sure.

February ended up being +1.4°. Those two 60° days really pushed it up.

7.0" of snow this month with only 0.57" of rain; mostly on the 2nd.

1.16" of moisture total. This February was the least snowiest since 2006, when 6.9" fell.

The winter overall was +3.66°. January ended up being the coldest at -0.13°. December was +9.68°.
