Yeah a pretty well defined area of cooler temps out that way.  Even some 30s lingering in the center part of the snow field in northern IN.

Up to 59 here now.

Snow is really melting fast here.  Down to just a few inches on average with bare spots opening up.  Should be good to go tomorrow in terms of getting in on real warmth.

Nice.  Late Feb sun angle doing work.  I was ready to go all in for some mid 60s here tomorrow based on how things are going today, but it looks like clouds may keep things from getting too out of hand tomorrow.  Either way it's gonna be a fantastic day for much of the sub.  :D

Snowpack is history from the snowstorm on Wednesday. Sustaining any snow cover this winter has been a treat. Wow Chitown that's a record for you guys, correct?? HVe to imagine most of the sub has put up a healthy positive temperature departure for the month.

Yep, the record at MSP is 54. MPX thinking 60 is still within reach. Grills fired up and ice fishermen out in droves. Awesome.

Man, temps are really overachieving out in Iowa.  Des Moines up to 67, with a good chance to get close to 70.  Southwest IA already in the low 70s, so mid 70s look achievable.  Temps even out this way are a few degrees above many forecast models.

Yeah, we underperformed last weekend, but really soared today with the full sun.  The car said 65 when I left spotter training this afternoon.... wonderful.

Built snowmen with my nephew and cousins today. As expected, screaming SW winds obliterating the snowpack.

But the lack of sun (which was unexpected) during peak heating and slightly underachieving highs definitely kept the snowpack from melting as much as it could have. Many areas still exist this morning where the deep snow remained in place.

We have a shot at 60*F today if Opaque Cirrus can finally be kept to a minimum.

60° yesterday afternoon, moderate sleet and a few flakes this morning. Ugly.

Edit: flipped to all snow and ground whitening up its snowing so hard.

Looks like a nice band going through up that way.

Already up to 60.  Temp only dropped to 47 early this morning at around 3am, and started rising ever since.
