easternsnowman
The euro has been wrong all winter especially when all the others have a different solution.
easternsnowman
Also the EPS is not the same as the euro.
canderson
We survived Pottsville and are on 81 in Hershey now. The wind near Pine Grove shoved out car into the other 81 lane completely, that was scary. Not sure I've ever been so cold in my life than during that 45 mins outside in the cemetery. Wow was it painful.
canderson
Looking at 12z runs, GFS appears to be the only one with significant zr issues in the LSV it seems. Even then it seems more ip than zr. No?
Itstrainingtime
The euro has been wrong all winter especially when all the others have a different solution. Ukie is also well west. Tough to bet against a Euro/Ukie combo. Do so at your own peril.

Wow was it painful. Temp has slowly dropped all day. Sitting at 13 now. My son was out warming up for baseball in shorts. Ah to be 17 again. easternsnowman
Ukie is also well west. Tough to bet against a Euro/Ukie combo. Do so at your own peril. I like our american models. That combo of the euro and ukie has been wrong before they are not perfect.especially this winter.
pawatch
Another tricky storm to predict...Looks like the GFS is showing more TQPF than Nam. Stay warm today!
Itstrainingtime
I like our american models. That combo of the euro and ukie has been wrong before they are not perfect.especially this winter. I think the GFS has done better lately and the NAM did well with the blizzard up north. But the American models have been trending for the past couple of days towards the Euro and Ukie. 2 days ago the GFS was off the coast.
NortheastPAWx
So far nothing much to report with the NAM.

NortheastPAWx
Looks a little cooler/east than 12z through 51. Light snow still the rule for the region.
NortheastPAWx
54 has more moderate snows entering the eastern half. 850 line still outside the state.
NortheastPAWx
57, some parts of the LSV are mixing, but it definitely remains cooler than the 12z with most everyone still all snow.
NortheastPAWx
It looks less organized than 12z. SFC line down around Philly with 850s headed for 81, but not a lot of precip.
NortheastPAWx
850 starting to head back SE at 63. Still mostly everyone's light precip, some 0.1+ in true central and LSV. 66 a band of 0.1+ for most with 0.25+ in LSV. Might be mix in some of those areas depending on temps. 69 Oh hello. Heavy snow along 81 and some points west. Southern areas are above freezing at the surface but the 850 line has retreated a good bit east of MDT. 72 Everyone 32+ at the surface but still snows ongoing. Closer to 81 you are the better. 75 Mostly pushed out. Light snow still hanging out in the eastern third.
NortheastPAWx
Unless I'm missing something in the upper levels, 81NW stays all snow.
NortheastPAWx
Most of the area doesn't see temps go above freezing until 18z Tuesday, when a lot of the precip is already over, and the upper levels are cool enough to support snow.
NortheastPAWx
This is all snow for north and west areas. Some mix in the southern areas.
Cashtown_Coop
Well LWX has WSW for border counties for 5" of snow and .25" zr.
NortheastPAWx
4K looks like slightly cooler than the 12K at 60.
Voyager
All the models it seems (NAM, CMC, and to an extent, the GFS) have me at close to 6 inches of snow for the event, except for the Euro.
Voyager
Down to 11 degrees here. Wondering if we'll crack single digits before nightfall. I won't know though, because we're going out for our Valentine's dinner at 5:00pm.

NortheastPAWx
Having loading issues with the forum (again)...anyway, more moderate precip works from southern to NE areas 54-57. 850 around 40N. SFC just north of Philly. 60 the lines jump way north and all of a sudden, we're warmer than 12z. Most everyone mixing.
NortheastPAWx
63 is ice in true central. Eastern half is plain rain. 66 Heavy ice in true central. Looks very bad. Everyone else rain.
NortheastPAWx
By 69 true central switches to plain rain. Pure deluge in the eastern half. Very much like the Euro.
canderson
Sounds like it's caving to the Euro. I fully expect a little snow out frat and then lots of plain rain.
NortheastPAWx
Some areas might change back to snow further north and west but it's just an ugly run overall and pretty much what the Euro has. NAM is on its own now.
