djr5001
Light Snow rate has picked up, with still the best radar returns in the southern tier counties & northern MD heading north, & filling in. I think there will be a lot of schools closing early today in the LSV. and the early dismissals are pouring in now

Eskimo Joe
MU Closing at 2:30. Low accumulation, high impact event probably. Temps are low, once we lose the sun in a few hours things should get dicey quick.

Itstrainingtime
"Snow of varying intensity" certainly fits the description of this event. Every time I look outside the rate is different than it was previously. Now is a good time to travel with maximum solar radiation and temps near the freezing mark. Santa Clause
We're getting light snow with really bright skies. Looks like a lot of melting.
MAG5035
Light snow here, the rates so far haven't been anywhere near sufficient to allow for accumulation given the marginal temps. There did appear to be a coating first thing this morning, but that has mostly melted.

canderson
What happened to the band structure? It was supposed to be waves of snow followed by lulls, it's snowed nonstop here all morning.

Superstorm93
Thundersnow? Very unlikely. However, the 4km NAM/HRRR/RGEM all show the potential for pockets of locally heavy snow rates later this afternoon, around 21z or so. I could see some areas getting 8" Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Smartphone
