clueless
Headed out...Enjoy these last couple hours everyone! Enjoy your snow. This is what DC needed.
dukeblue219
Surely this comes into the category of 'best snowfall ever' for some of you? Possibly for most on here that didn't grow up in some ridiculously snowly area.
09-10 analogy
25" (or so). Two more inches to go to reach what MBY got in 2/5-6 Approaching a 30-hour duration storm. Authentic blizzard (even DCA agrees). Maybe most important, NO mixing. GOAT. Only thing lacking is thundersnow (which evidently I slept through). PrinceFrederickWx
The power line and tower that's 0.2 miles away is not visible. This is great!
Ltrain
Measured 19.5" in Davidsonville. Was at 15" around 5am before entering the big lull and only picked up about an inch and a half after then before picking back up in the last hour and a half. Cool. I finally got some good spots and it looks like I'm at 18.5. That dry slot really hurt us.
mitchnick
BWI's back "up" to 1/8 SM visibility, but that had to have been an incredible period of snow. it's been a spectacular storm
McQuackleton
This dude is trying to plow in our neighborhood (first plow we have seen), he came in once and was going back a second time got stuck, walked out and left his truck. This is 15 minutes ago now. By the way we have 27" and 4-7 feet drifts.
clueless
I have about 25" here... but that measurement was from 4:30... raking here now all those hours of tracking. thank you yoda.

Inverted_Trough
PHL is also near sea level and next to a river. Yet they don't seem to have snow measurement issues that are always a few inches lower than other locations only a mile away. What's different about the Potomac River compared to the Delaware River? rmcwahoo
Unbelievable afternoon in Richmond. The bands out of DC never stopped. They rolled into the metro and we've definitely gotten 5+ from about 2pm on. RIC may very well break the 33 year streak of no snow greater than a foot. We will see. vinylfreak89
26.5". Btw, this is a depth measurment. There is no way to get an accurate measurement with a snowboard. Just unreal. I think its unbelievable the almost 3" of modeled QPF is playing out. Will be very curious to see what final QPF numbers are. Enjoy one more video from the worst of the conditions earlier. ennepe68
DC about to get rocked again by that band moving southwest. Hopefully DCA can get above 28". Might have to go to midnight to make that happen

Hank Scorpio
Alternating between moderate and heavy still in Ashburn. I just spent 45 minutes outside clearing the 4 foot drift off of my balcony for fear of structural damage (it's cantilevered from the house, so no support columns). I should have just kept my snow gear on and gone on a photo taking mission. I guess I'll have to go back out at some point this evening to re-clear the HVAC unit. Greatest storm I've ever seen. What a day...
