Scarlet Pimpernel
This is close to the death band from the second Feb '10 storm. Going to be almost impossible to measure, just like that one. Very reminiscent of that, yes. It is very difficult to measure. I've had to resort to adding on to my total whatever has fallen in recently cleared area on the walkways. JonathanW
This must be that deform band the models kept painting over the 95 corridor late in the storm that I didn't believe would happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Was thinking that, too. Looking forward to "after action" evaluations of the various models' predictions vs. ground truth. usedtobe
The biggest question of all, is WES ORGASMIC RIGHT NOW? I'm still on the fringe. Probably moderate snow. I'll be orgasmic when I get S+ and it stays for 3 or 4 hours. I'm not in the yellow, they are still to my west. I've pretty much been screwed all day until now and I still feel screwed until the band pushes east a bit.
Tater Tot
I can barely see anything out my window now. Whiter than the front row of a Mumford and Sons concert.

LakeEffectKing
HRRR agrees... Deformation ftw!! Back in /'92 (I think) I was in Cazenovia NY (15 mi. east of SYR) and saw the heaviest rates ever (even compared to some of my LES chases)...no lie...10"/hr.!! Every molecule of moisture turns into big dendrites....the forcing mechanism is only surpassed by a 10,000' orographic mountain...
