jvash
Any SE DCers on here? Looks like it's ripping there. The wind has picked up for sure in SE DC. It's just starting to snow again where I am. Went out for a walk and had to wear safety goggles because the wind was blowing. Still small flakes though. Joshfsu123
Yeah it's pretty ok in the district. People out and about, some cars on the roads. some parts of the district... my roads haven't been plowed since like 7pm yesterday. Doubt it happens again until tomorrow at some point. And folks are allowed to park on the road so they can only really do a small lane when they do. A lot of work has to happen outside of downtown DC to get the city ready to allow people back to work on Monday. Not sure it happens - we'll see. Solo2
What's the highest total down there so far? Low 30's here, but probably some mid (possibly upper) 30's in the upper elevations of NW MD, Panhandle and NOVA.
aldie 22
Lightened up a bit...same longitude as Leesburg so as long as the deform band is going straight down I will get the sloppy seconds
joecacti
Great Cacapon, WV: 26" and SN. About 2" per hour for hours on end!
GEOS5ftw
Definitely the lowest visibility during the day so far here as we've gone from the fringe of the action to being solidly under the banding. Still mostly small flakes though. Wind has really picked up and temp dropped a bit too as snow picked up. Hoping for another 3-6 as that would push me over 2 feet, and >25 inches would be a personal largest snowfall witnessed, beating 1996.
wak2x
Still dumping. Amazing how one little band can make a storm.
Windman18
22 degrees. 28 inches of snow depth, drifts up to 3 ft. and a drift approaching 4 ft. on the edge of my roof. At least the snow isn't wet.

Expat
You know, Fairfax City has had a constant light-moderate snow for the past 2 1/2 hours and I measured 1.3- 1.5 inches, so we are doing pretty well

clskinsfan
Heres a few pics I took. There is not a whole lot of areas around my house I can get to. I am 6 feet tall and the snow comes up to my crotch while trying to walk in it: View from my front porch. There are 3 cars in my driveway including an F150 which is behind the drift you see. View from the edge of my driveway. Drift on one of my cars is to the right. Neighbors house across the street. This drift is 8 feet high. Other side of drift. There is a car under there that my ass has to dig out tomorrow. Ridiculous. I will take more pics once the snow stops. But as of right now it's still dumping. Next measurement at 3:
nw baltimore wx
Looks like the band just north east of here has Baltimore in its cross hairs. Got off to a slow start but just about 20" now and a good chance to add to that pretty quickly in the band.
