dukeblue219
Were really seeing the wind pick up finally in Silver Spring. We've had occasional gusts but mostly just a light breeze all morning. Now the trees are really starting to wave and viz is way down.
MN Transplant
18" as of 11:30 am. That's precisely 1" in the last three hours. I'm skeptical about topping Feb '10 near us.
Stormpc
Took several measurements all about. Mode number is 17. Round 2 incoming. Another 7 for 2 feet would work. Not too sure about that 24 in Manassas.
T. August
Pretty good. Not fatties but not dust either. I had dust for a while last night. This stuff is piling up well. I am on the southern edge of that band that has been rotating through for a while. I can see on radar that you are just a hair too south for the moment. Yeah, it's definitely still accumulating pretty well. I just hope fatties get ripped at some point.

wxwonder1
The Dulles 23.6 was at 915 AM...We've got to be 25-26" now, with some of the heaviest of the day. I agree with this. Really ripping here all night/day.

WinterWxLuvr
Yup...we're trying to catch up you guys out there. Should be close. You will. You'll stay banded longer. I wish it could snow like this all day and not accumulate any more. Love to watch it, hate to clean it.
wxdude64
I also dug out around my heatpump which was drifted over about 25 inches, something those with heatpumps should look into doing during a storm of this magnitude. Yep, this is a definite to those using HP's!!!

Symblized
Up to 17 inches in Roland park are balt city - two inches since last measurement around 9:30. Best rates at my neighborhood of the storm last hour - much better flake size. Anyone else from this part of city with similar numbers? What is bwi at? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk About right for me. Ripping the last couple of hours. Four inches where I shoveled about 830.

My 4 measurements yesterday through this am added up to 16.6, but only 15 was on ground. Course the 30 minutes of pouring sleet didn't help either. dallen7908
Mostly light snow (but now flurries) since the brief period of sleet changed to snow around 7:30 AM, perhaps 1/2 inch accumulation since then but have ~15" on the ground. That pivot is agonizingly slow but based on the number of new replies since I started writing this it is finally happening. Hopefully, it pivots over me too.
