Bob Chill
We're waiting for the surface low to get past our latitude so the pivot could start sweeping northwest to southeast My next band is dropping down from the NE. Game time.
Grothar of Herndon
Ripping snow. 24/21 Strong wind causing some major drifting Measuring is impossible, but guestimate is 18" to 20"
haudidoody
Radar says it should be barely snowing here, but it's really coming down right now. I'd be happy with this rate for another seven hours or so. More would be better, too. Interesting. Radar shows very little here as well and at 50+ feet above the street it isn't doing anything more than flurries, as the radar shows. People on the ground are seeing a lot of blowing snow. 87storms
DC proper folk will be fine, you can already see the precip backbuilding to the east. It's just a bit of a dry pocket. the dry pocket looks like it's already starting to shift slowly towards (and off) the coast. http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/eaus/flash-wv.html

87storms
i wouldn't be surprised if dca (or dc rather) gets another 10" to be quite honest. i certainly think another 5-6" is a very solid bet.

Bob Chill
We should be entering the period where nearly stationary or slow moving bands oriented ne-sw and then n-s. Later everything will start pull east.
BTRWx
You joke but that rain up in Olney really cut down on totals. Clear mist here during the lull. I wouldn't call it rain per-say, but there was fine liquid particulates. More flurries picking back up now.

Scuddz
First round of shoveling done while we probably have 15 or 16 inches, its so drifted that most ares have over 2 feet at least in my driveway. Pretty tough going. still coming down and a decent clip, half inch an hour or so and looking heavier now
