BlizzardNole
Blowing snow is clogging the screens on my windows. I can hardly see outside anymore. Jeb: I take most of my screens off before winter and store 'em. Makes the views much nicer for storms like this! Moderate snow here, depth measurements range from 17-19". Kmlwx
As Phineas pointed out, looking at the Dover radar you can see this thing pivoting. Should be very nice again shortly. I don't think we'll match the overnight rates though from DB1,2,3 etc

Jebman
I'm in a light snow band, eking out about .2 inch an hour. Hey NW Virginia and MD, may I please borrow your prolific band for a bit? Please? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. -Jeb

jpljr77
Silver Spring. Light, blowing snow right now. You see that red thing in the picture? That's the top of a toddler wiffle ball tee that is exactly 23 inches tall. We've been tracking it since 2:20pm yesterday. It's kind of protected from drifting. For the record, there is about five inches left exposed. So....18 inches?
JonathanW
Just for reference, what did the models have us getting by morning? just for reference. If memory serves, the totals being reported here are along the lines of what was expected by now. It depended upon the run and the model, of course. Scarlet Pimpernel
If memory serves, the totals being reported here are along the lines of what was expected by now. I believe that is the case. There were some crazy runs with 2 feet by 12Z, but most guidance I think pegged the area at ~12-20" by ghis time. Now we'll see what happens the rest of the day and this evening. mattie g
I got 16" at 8AM so I can verify your measurement. Cool. Thanks for the verification! Interesting that we didn't pick up as much as I expected overnight. No complaints - just that it was crushing for a few hours and I figured I'd have measured a couple inches more this morning. Got started off strong but didn't seem to score as well as some others in the deathbands.
