Really pouring out here now and looks like even harder approaching

Just woke up from a 3 hour nap. Couldnt stay awake any longer. The beatdown we are taking right now is on par with any of the biggest storms ive ever experienced. I have no idea how much snow I have. I have measurements of anywhere from 16 to 19. So im gonna call it 17 and be done with my 7 am ob. If any of the short range models are right. We will end up around 30. Which wont beat pd2 for me. But this storm is just epic so far.

Hey Matt/Randy/Ian, based on radar, latest modeling, your measurements, etc, do you think any chance DCA exceeds 25 inches or even beats Knickerbocker?

no, but I think highest ever at DCA is a possibility.  18.8" would be #1.  That is kind of what I am shooting for .

Coming down very nicely.  Not quite what I'd call "pouring snow", but close.

It will be there in Columbia in a minute.

I've been up, mesmerized by what I am seeing here in Clarksburg over the last hour+.  Beautiful downpour.

I'll go measure in a while.  It looks big.

Yeah...you're in a good spot for this one :)

Does anyone have a link to official lwx nws snowtotals?

There should be an update soon with 7am totals..

Submitted 15.0 inches for a spotter report at 07:00 for Franconia/Kingstowne, an additional 6 inches since 01:00. Much lower confidence in the measurement this time thanks to wind, but still using three snow boards plus a few other comparison measuring sites.

Nice...I had 15" at 6:00 AM, so maybe I didn't measure right.
