The very fine & light snow falling about 15 minutes ago has fortunately picked back up to larger flakes & moderate intensity. yup...My "lull" quickly turned to +SN

66degreesnorth
Hey Matt/Randy/Ian, based on radar, latest modeling, your measurements, etc, do you think any chance DCA exceeds 25 inches or even beats Knickerbocker? GirlForAllSeasons
Does anyone knwo where I can get the airport measurements? Like the official measurements? Cause my totals are no where near what everyone else is reporting. Ugh...
clskinsfan
Really pouring out here now and looks like even harder approaching Just woke up from a 3 hour nap. Couldnt stay awake any longer. The beatdown we are taking right now is on par with any of the biggest storms ive ever experienced. I have no idea how much snow I have. I have measurements of anywhere from 16 to 19. So im gonna call it 17 and be done with my 7 am ob. If any of the short range models are right. We will end up around 30. Which wont beat pd2 for me. But this storm is just epic so far. Kingstonian
Submitted 15.0 inches for a spotter report at 07:00 for Franconia/Kingstowne, an additional 6 inches since 01:00. Much lower confidence in the measurement this time thanks to wind, but still using three snow boards plus a few other comparison measuring sites. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk no, but I think highest ever at DCA is a possibility. 18.8" would be #1. That is kind of what I am shooting for . das
Coming down very nicely. Not quite what I'd call "pouring snow", but close. It will be there in Columbia in a minute. I've been up, mesmerized by what I am seeing here in Clarksburg over the last hour+. Beautiful downpour. I'll go measure in a while. It looks big. wxnut
For those of us just waking up, can someone provide the most recent measurement from DCA, IAD, and BWI? From 12Z (7 am) METAR reports, IAD was reporting 16" snow depth, DCA 14". BWI had 12" as of 11Z, so they're likely around 13" as of 12Z.

MetalCapsFan
Coming down pretty well here in Hampden/Baltimore and winds picking up after a brief period of sleet a lil over an hour ago following the thundersnow, gonna crack a beer here in a bit and go take some snowfall measurements. Cheers!
MN Transplant
16.8" High confidence measurement. Winds haven't been bad here at all. Getting liquid equivalent is a pain in the ass though. Trying for a second time. 1.89" is what I sent in for CoCoRahs, but that is not as solid.
