jacindc
I'd be a little surprised if I don't run at 30". I will be most happy to be wrong! I missed out on that orange band that most of the rest of the city got a few hours ago, that probably cost me an inch or so.
Kmlwx
I'd be a little surprised if I don't run at 30". There's also new stuff down in St Mary's Co that looks to make a run at the metro area.

mdsnowlover
Here on Capitol Hill I really haven't seen the rates that would support 24+. I had 11.5" (not on a board) at 4 am, and I doubt the rates will be there to get another foot here between now and when the storm ends. i,m at 12" if i get to 20" will be very happy
Kmlwx
Radar shows Annapolis poked into the dryslot that came up from the Delmarva - but there's new stuff in St. Mary's County and radar filling in a bit farther down the bay. Nice banding.

A lot depends on dryslotting of course, but it is the sheer duration that might let us take a stab at big totals..DC itself seems to range from 11"-14" as of right now.....I could see this event potentially lasting another 18 hours... vinylfreak89
I just looked at 06Z frontogenesis analysis 800-600 mb. The next 4-6 hours will be the height of the storm I believe based on this. Our best chance of thundersnow is also during this period.

5speed6
Rates have fallen off here pretty dramatically. Still a few fatties falling here and there but the real story right now is the wind. Dry slot in full effect.
Bob Chill
Next hour or 2 should give some insight for the more persistent and slow moving bands. Seems like dca might do pretty well from how it looks now.
smokeybandit
For being under a high wind warning, winds have been pretty much non-existent.

aldie 22
Back in the good stuff again.....looking at radar makes me a little melancholy for leesburg and deform bands. I'm definitely going to lull hard for a bit soon. Great storm though...ripping

Yes, my feeling about totals isn't exactly working from a learned position of deep model analysis . Just mainy was expecting to get a few more inches along the way overnight in order to make a run at a really big total, though I'll be interested to see my 5am number.
