NorthArlington101
That band isn't moving much... DCA could get 20. What are you at right now? I'm thinking somewhere between 23-25".

Solo2
Stinks there are no spotters reporting from FDK Co above 500'. We're sitting around 34-35" here at the moment with snow still falling. I seriously think someone above 1500' must be in the low 40's at least.
Swiscaster
That band isn't moving much... DCA could get 20. Channel 9 just said Reagan reported 23"(?)! Possible?
WVsnowlover
That was my choice for Bullseye for this storm. But I think the final numbers we hear from up around WxTrix are going to be phenomenal. That band that set up I western Berkeley county was unreal. Wouldn't be surprised to see a total close to 48" out there.
Kat
What are you at right now? I'm thinking somewhere between 23-25". Can't see how they don't. They've been in one inch per hour snowfall rates for a few hours since being around 18 inches with I but more to go.

m051293
39" in Philomont Western Loudoun... Wow. Reported by Governor Mcauliffe on NBC. I'm in western Ashburn, on the border of Ashburn/Leesburg ~5.5 miles (driving) from both KIAD & KJYO. Measured 26" on the driveway and 30" on the road @10AM w/noob method. KJYO reported 26" at 9AM I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I'd venture we're between 34-36" right now, targeting a 40". I'll do several measurements once the heavier bands clear out. Terpeast
DCA will get 20", little doubt. I think there's a real shot at 22" and I'm being conservative. That is, unless they screw up the measurements.
WeSuck
I measured close to 24-25, although hard to get accurate measurements. Radar looks great, back building some now too
dukeblue219
Channel 9 just said Reagan reported 23"(?)! Possible? DCA still at 18 inch snow depth (unchanged) in the last METAR. Isn't it plausible that they've received 23" of snow which currently stands 18" deep?
wxmeddler
18" in the last DCA METAR.
WVclimo
Unofficially, this is the largest January snowfall on record for the eastern panhandle of WV. And the second-snowiest January on record at MRB, a few inches behind 1996. In the past 6+ years, we have had the snowiest October, December and February on record. Need a few more inches to add January to that list.
Geos
Might have to go to midnight to make that happen Any guessimate yet... 25" maybe.
WeSuck
Isn't it plausible that they've received 23" of snow which currently stands 18" deep? I am 2 miles from airport and I have 24.5 inches so yes, very plausible
BTRWx
Isn't it plausible that they've received 23" of snow which currently stands 18" deep? Maybe WPC decided to update first? http://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/discussions/nfdscc2.html
