Bob Chill
6.4 is my midnight #. Took about a dozen measurements. Rimed styrofoam layer on top but dendrites are coming back in force. Short range models are killing it today. Everything is right on schedule

biodhokie
I can't even measure here. Winds are too gusty with all of the buildings around me. That and the plow trucks are congregating near my complex so they're pushing snow as fast as it falls.

dukeblue219
I'll second the report of howling wind from the end of the last thread. It's been gusty on-and-off, but about 3 minutes ago was the first time I've heard the wind howling around my house from this storm. Need to go back out and measure after the band that came through around 11:30!
LovingGulfLows
Wow, can't see how someone doesn't get 35 inches somewhere out of this. The banding is insane(possible 4-5 inch per hour rates). Grats to you guys and enjoy. Love seeing the evolution of the storm even though I didn't get much myself.

Leesburg20176
Still moderate snow in Leesburg. What else is new? I wonder when LWX and others will adjust forecast maps to account for this apparent shift eastward with the higher totals. Doesn't look like any of the heaviest bands will affect us here. Ian
DCA tracking pretty nicely with downtown measurements so far, midnight METAR checks in with 7". Expected they would. We're like two days into rising off lowest temps of the yr and it was cold going in. We're not used to big Jan snowstorms.
