Blizzard of 93
I should have stated they reported a depth of 12" at 7am and depth of 17" at 11 despite hourly increments totaling 9" of new (17" depth is less than all reports I have seen around the area) Please clarify how the official measurements get recorded for snow ? I thought it was the hourly totals added up, so compaction & drifting should not be a big factor ? MDT needs to get this right!
CarlislePaWx
Noon update: officially picked up another 3.0" during the past hour and it continues at this insane rate with no letup in sight. Side road was untouched since early this morning. 10-12" on the road.

Jim Marusak
SN++ is that a thing? This band is heaviest yet. that used to be SX i think in old SA code. but in METARS, all you have is +SN. but if it's 1/8 to 1/16 mile, I'm sure people will get the picture real quick. canderson
Hey serious question: anyone around Harrisburg. Do you have a plow on your truck or know anyone who does? My alley isn't city owned and won't get plowed - I thnk its a litttttle too much to do by hand!

Voyager
Just measured. Up to 15.5" so far, and looks to keep going for quite a few hours yet. I actually had the Jeep out to run to the bank and then the store. I had to stock up on the necessities (cigarettes) and buy my neighbor a coffee for plowing out all of our parking spots. It was fun!
