kerplunk
After reading the posts from you guys down south, seems a bit ridiculous to even bother posting this - but that band actually made it in here and we're getting light-mod snow!!! Easily 1" per 3-4 hours.
MillvilleWx
Snowing at 4"/hour....picked up 1.0" in the past 15 minutes....now up to 21.5". 30 seems a lock at this point. Sooooo heavy!!!! You and Canderson up the 81 corridor are getting smoked. Keep it rolling
GrandmasterB
Just got back from a jebwalk. Just unbelievable conditions. Gusts to 40 easily, insane rates, and two rumbles of thunder. Absolutely incredible!! Drifts to 5 feet, but no idea how much on a non drifted surface. What a storm...and to think we have hours to go?? Crippling
MillvilleWx
This is going to shatter Feb 2010. Obliterate. I just looked at the meso analysis and my jaw dropped. You have the best lift literally rolling up the 81 corridor. I'm so glad I busted hard on your guys forecast. Welcome to the 20+ club my friend. Looks like 30" is in the cards for both of us
Vogan
9:30 obs. Storm total 13" Not quite in the obscene rates nearby but still averaging over 1"/hr since early this morning. Out this morning to start the clean up, what a great scene.
Voyager
Radar appears to be getting spotty, with holes of lighter intensity showing up in the precip shield. Is that evidence of more banding features setting up? Right now we have the lightest snow we've had since I woke up at 4am. 11.25" at the moment, but we sure aren't piling it up like we were before. CarlislePaWx
At 10:00AM I just measured 7" on my snowboard, which I cleared at 8:00AM. So, it has been snowing at 3.5"/hr average for the past 2 hours, and my storm total is now up to 23.5". Deathband in progress...>4"/hr. This is surreal. Voyager
You LSV guys are stealing my thunder...perhaps literally! Anyway, back into the heavy snow now. Even up here where it's nothing like down there, it's unreal!
MAG5035
Right around 11" with continued light to occasionally moderate snow. Haven't seen the big time rates to get this to Feb 2010 around here but it's still the biggest storm since then and considering the insane gradient I'm grateful to be a part of the decent snows. But seriously that stuff in the Sus Valley is insane right now.
