ILoveWinter
Nobody believes the accuracy of the 2006 storm anyway, so in my book this is #1!
weatherfreeeeak
That's really frustrating. And I don't see how it's possibly accurate either. Can this last band deliver?it's lightly snowing here, maybe it'll be just enough

LaGrangewx
That wasn't Juno and this isn't Jonas. We need to stop with TWC Crap. I hate that the public embraced it so quickly. nemo is the reason why
Manny
wow. lol .2", this last band might do it.
bboughton
nemo is the reason why WFSB started naming storms way before Nemo. Gets confusing in CT when there's two names!
weatherfreeeeak
wow. lol .2", this last band might do it.yea if they have the courtesy to even measure againUpdate: Next measurement is at 2AM, lets hope we can get it!!
jm1220
I do totally get Yehuda's point. "Jonas" is about the worst possible name anyone could come up with for a storm like this. "Nemo" and "Juno" similarly-cartoon characters, for what shut down New England, and the eastern suburbs of NYC too. It's just easier toggling a name than a date in your head. I remember the bigger ones-2/8/13 for "Nemo", 1/25/15 for "Juno", but for the more mediocre, forget it.

JerseyWx
nemo is the reason why And for some reason, I only think and refer to that storm in February 2013 as Nemo. I even think of Finding Nemo lol. Besides that, I go by dates for all other storms, especially big ones. And wow at NYC's record. I hope they break it somehow by the next measurement. Too close and good of a storm to miss out on it.

LongBeachSurfFreak
The park reported 5.8 inches on 0.31" LE between 4 and 7 pm. Close to 19:1 Champaign powder the last few hours with that band!!

LongBeachSurfFreak
Definitely 30" where I am two miles north of the park on sight. Just epic epic epic m. There's a 9' drift up against one of the buildings: this is for sure the best blizzard in NYC history. Other then 1888 which I firmly believe was more then recorded

NorthShoreWx
I hate it too, but it's better than remembering the dates. "Juno" was 1/25/15, "Nemo" was 2/8/13? Admittedly, "Jonas" is a hugely lame name for a storm like this. Disagree. I remember those dates, but I am thoroughly perplexed about which name is which date. It doesn't make it any easier that there are 17 different midwest light - moderate clippers that also have names. Its really quite absurd. So today's storm is Juno? Or was it Nemo?
